1. Branded Content Updates – Instagram added a lot of features for Creators partnering with Brands. Now you indicate partnerships by using the Branded Content tag on Reels – and very soon, on IG Live. Branded Content ads in Stories can now include tappable elements, including @mentions, location, and hashtags, helping Creators be transparent about their partnerships. Creators can also now participate in Branded Content ads without having to first post organically – ads can instantly be created with their account information, rather than needing to post first, then boost it.
2. Tagged Products in Reels – Now you can tag products in Reels – if you have a Shop, or if you are a Creator with a Branded Partnership. It shows Instagram is really trying to leverage Shopping and Reels together to create a different kind of buying experience. Tagging products is great when you’re doing product demos, tutorials, or creating unboxing videos!
3. New Story – Instagram added a #GivingTuesday story where Stories tagged with the Donation Sticker will be seen on Tuesdays, so your friends can see the good you are doing. There’s going to be a way to share fundraisers in your feed posts soon, so you can link to nonprofits right in your post.
4. New Sticker – Instagram launched the #BuyBlack Stories sticker to encourage people to share Black-owned businesses that they love.
Come back tomorrow when I’m going to share the last info from Instagram on how leverage these new features (and others) to grow your audience!
